Book 3 Coming in Just a Few Weeks!

And so the madness of book production grinds on. My lovely editor and I are working hard to put the finishing touches on the story, and the cover designer has been engaged to make a gorgeous face for this third book in the series. It's official title is: Six of One ~ Snow Globe and I'm aiming for release of the eBook on October 31, 2018. The print version will follow in December in time for the holidays. I'm super excited to share this one with you all as it not only ties up the lose ends of the story so far, but it lays out the blueprint for where it's going in the next three books. I'm very proud of how this story is shaping up in a big-picture way and hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I love writing it.

Here's the first 'teaser' for Snow Globe that I posted on IG and FB yesterday:

Spooky, eh? The story is super spooky in a good way and might give you nightmares (at least that's the plan--lol). I thought I'd share with you the two stock photo images I sent to the designer with my whimsical description of the vision I see for the cover. The artists I've worked with so far have just been amazing with turning my dreams into solid reality, and I can't wait to see what they do with these two very simple, raw images.

Snow Globe is focused on my character, Sonya, as she was left in terrible jeopardy at the end of Book 2. Have no fear, though--her journey is only just beginning and has a long and interesting way to go. I usually hesitate to show faces on the covers as I don't want to interfere with each reader's own imagination of how the characters look, move, etc. I felt I had to use a face image for Blackwing as it was the first in the series and it seemed very important, but for Vendetta I used my own photograph of a tree that's very near to our cabin in the Sierras. I love how that turned out and felt it caught the essence of the story well. This time, I wanted to give a suggestion of how Sonya looks to me and this lovely model embodies many of her waifish, ethereal qualities. My fingers are crossed for this cover turning out just as great as the first two. I'll share the new cover here as soon as it's finalized.

Otherwise, I'm still tired from my whirlwind trip to Scotland last month where I ran all over the Highlands and the Isle of Skye doing research for Book 4. I got almost all the information I wanted and am already making notes. One major location eluded be due to the horrid weather, but that just means I'll have to go back, right? Right. I adore Scotland so much. I never tire of her rugged beauty, and there is just so much more to see.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting updates on the release of Snow Globe and on my plans to take the books to a wider market (i.e., Amazon and beyond). I have no idea what I'm doing on that front so I'm in the process of learning. These are the times I wish I had an assistant, but alas--being indie means doing most everything on your own. So, off I go into the wild unknown again as I continue to build my dreams. Be well, my friends! ~
